My submission for ScrapFit Challenge #22

ScrapFit has another fun challenge, #22: "Fans, Fans, Everywhere Fans"

For this challenge I want to see your fans/peeps/friends—I need a LO/altered art with 5-10 pictures in it. Could be friends, family, animals---whatever you like.

I made this album for my beautiful little niece, Emma, who is almost 2 yo and trying to talk and recognize all of her family members. This has been one of my most favorite projects and she just loves it!

My other hobby......

As a busy woman with a full time career and family of 4, I find that I don't have as much time to craft as I'd like. As a family that has been hit by the economy just as much as everyone else, we like to shop thrift stores & garage sales as much as possible. Now, I've been very fortunate in the past, finding new/like new clothing for my kids and the occasional organization item or crafty goody, but this last Saturday I hit the motherload and had to share with my other crafty friends. Check it out - I got all of this for just $13! : )

ScrapFit Workout #20 Submission #1

"Just Do It": This is a cardstock ONLY challenge! You can use all the embellies you want, but that paper must only be CARDSTOCK!!

I didn't do a full layout, I may still, but I had a friend recently graduate with her 2 year degree in Massage Therapy. I wanted to make her a card, but what I started making and what I ended up with were dramatically different. She very much enjoys motivational phrases, so I thought it fit for her anyway. All that being said, the tag was cardstock, so here it is!

This one was fun! I honestly had NO idea what I was going to do, until I had 10 spare minutes in my craft room one night and made the "today" tag, featured in the lower right corner. I set it aside to dry, and forgot about it for about a week. Last Thursday, as I was packing up for the next days monthly crop at SJV, I came across it, as well as a pic of my hubby when he was 15 (this will clue you in to the state of my craft space - crazy disorganization!). So, I packed both in a bag, along with a mental note of this ScrapFIT Challenge, and went off to bed. I worked the entire next day, arrived at the crop with still not a clue of what I was going to do with either item. I realized that I had to have a current pic of him with me, and the idea started to unfold. Without a "yesterday" stamp amongst us all at the crop, I had to get creative with some pink alphas that I received in a grab bag a year ago and that I never would have probably used (I have 2 boys), put them on the tag, inked over them, then pulled them up and voila, such a pleasant suprise that it worked out. I have to give credit to all the girls that night, especially Sandi & Rhonda, for their input and shared buttons & ribbon! Enjoy!

My submission for ScrapFit Challenge #18

I tried something new, and am not very happy with the result, but since I put the work into it, I might as well enter it! I used Jillibean Soup for the birdhouses and the paper that is under the boys names. Of course, the names are metallic stickers, so you can't see what they say, left page is Braden, right is Joey.
